Never allow stress to overwhelm your mind. Although at times anxiety threatens to take over, avoid the escalation of these feelings by focusing your energy on your body rather than your mind. Feel the environment around you, and notice where you are in the moment. This technique may seem strange, but it helps you escape the wild thoughts of your mind. Combine this focus on your body with a deep, slow breath. Put your problems into perspective, relax. Just one breath can allow you to separate your panicked mind from reality. A single breath and awareness of your body and environment are the first steps to preventing stress from disrupting your life.
