Let those modifiers stick to what they modify
let them create logic in our world
don't let them get separate
as into chaos they can be hurled
( Modifiers were never simple to me)
Let subjects agree with their proper verbs
let them join together in unison
where never confusion rests or failure stays
that sentences are as good as bacon
let them create logic in our world
don't let them get separate
as into chaos they can be hurled
( Modifiers were never simple to me)
Let subjects agree with their proper verbs
let them join together in unison
where never confusion rests or failure stays
that sentences are as good as bacon
(It was never clear to me)
let my sentences be correctlet them be crowned with an A+
But grammar is hard and it's not easy
It's just in our english teacher we trust
Based off of Let America Be America Again by Langston Hughs
Let America be America again. Let it be the dream it used to be. Let it be the pioneer on the plain Seeking a home where he himself is free. (America never was America to me.) Let America be the dream the dreamers dreamed— Let it be that great strong land of love Where never kings connive nor tyrants scheme That any man be crushed by one above. (It never was America to me.) O, let my land be a land where Liberty Is crowned with no false patriotic wreath, But opportunity is real, and life is free, Equality is in the air we breathe.

With this poem I tried to capture the deep vibe of the original poem, and translate it into my new one, reforming each line into a verse about grammar like a cookie cutter transforming a sheet of dough.
