Commas

What happens when a comma is used incorrectly?

     Does it make your sentence
     Run on forever?
Or does it make your craft
     and style better?
Can you learn how to use it?
     And learn how to not
     abuse it?

     Possibly it can correctly
     connect clauses.

Or does it sometimes represent pauses?

Based on Harlem by Langston Hughes

This poem is a parody of the famous Langston Hughes poem called Harlem. The purpose of the poem is to explain the way a comma works when using it as a splice. The purpose is also to show how commas work or can be used when correctly connecting clauses.

  1. I think your title is great and that you did a good job of keeping with style and rhyme scheme of Harlem.
