The Jealous Minds of Powerful People

Jealousy is one of the most deadly and malicious parts of human emotion. It can make people do the most violent and ill-advised things to others. Jealousy constantly comes up as a theme in Macbeth. Macbeth is known as a good man to his comrades and allies in the play, however, his greed and thrive to succeed overtakes his judgement and forces him to make rash and hasty decisions when it comes to obtaining power. Jealousy has been seen to change someone's intentions and make them perform cynical tasks. These two great and well respected individuals who are good at what they do are overtaken by jealousy causing them to do irrational things.
